Additionally, light commercial waste, including office furniture, filing cabinets, and chairs, as well as household items like paper, cardboard, kitchenware, cloths, and toys, can also be placed in the general waste bin. Not allowed in a general waste bin are: food products, both perishable and non-perishable; underlay, carpet, vinyl and rubber products, and synthetic turf; tree stumps and large roots; heavy construction materials like bricks, clay, soil, tiles, concrete, gyprock, fibro, asbestos, timbers, insulation, paint, chemicals, and chemical containers; and tyres and mattresses (extra charges apply, with the exception of tyres which are not allowed in QLD.

A commitment to a sustainable future for Ramsgate Beach

Ramsgate Beach is a beautiful area, and we intend to do all we can to keep it that way. Our commitment to sorting and recycling all the rubbish we collect goes along way to ensuring we are have the least impact on the environment as possible. For example, concrete collected from bins is a key waste product we strive to recycle. Did you know the production of concrete is one of the largest contributors to CO2 emissions in the world. We sort and recycle all the concrete we find which is then crushed and turned into products like road base, creation of hardstand areas and can be broken down to formulate ingredients to make new concrete.

How much does a skip bin cost to hire?

Skip bins prices depend on size. Prices can start from as little as $200, and go up from there as you get larger bins. The type of waste also impacts price. If you have a bin that is all recyclable, say concrete, this will be cheaper than a bin with mixed waste that needs to be sorted or has items that go to land fill and cannot be recycled.

Cheap waste removal in Ramsgate Beach

Whilst we offering a range of skip bins to help you remove waste, whether it be from the garden, a household clean up or a small home renovation, , sometimes you can take advantage of local council services and get rid of your rubbish for free. Most councils allow you to book a small home clean up for free once or twice a year. Each council has rules on what you can put out in terms of waste types and the amount, but it’s worth considering if you only have a small amount.
